Implus Corporation Welcomes Michael Polk as Interim CEO
DURHAM, N.C., Feb. 10, 2020 — Implus Corporation, a leader in athletic, fitness, and outdoor
accessories, has appointed Michael Polk as Interim Chief Executive Officer.
This transition occurs as Seth Richards and Todd Vore, who have significantly
contributed to Implus’ growth over two decades, prepare to exit the company.
Michael Polk brings a wealth of experience, having previously served as President and CEO
of Newell Brands from 2011 to 2019. His leadership roles at Unilever and Kraft,
coupled with his early career at The Procter & Gamble Company, underline
his expertise in the consumer products sector.
David Bordeau, Chairman of the Implus Board of Directors, expressed confidence in Polk’s
appointment. “We are pleased that Michael Polk is joining us. His
extensive background is a perfect match for Implus as we enter a new phase of growth,” Bordeau noted.
Michael Polk also serves on the Boards of Directors for
Colgate-Palmolive Company and Logitech International. His academic credentials
include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a degree in operations research
and industrial engineering from Cornell University.
